Bio:

Mark Magharious, MD is a neurologist and a fellowship-trained neuro-ophthalmologist. He has specialized training in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of neuro-ophthalmologic and neurologic conditions, such as optic neuropathies, cranial nerve disorders, ocular myasthenia gravis and visual manifestations of systemic and neurological disease. He has worked closely with multidisciplinary teams and is well-versed in both inpatient and outpatient care. Dr. Magharious uses a patient-centered, education-focused approach to ensure patients understand their diagnosis, test results, and treatment options. His typical patient is someone experiencing complex visual or neurological symptoms often referred by a neurologist, ophthalmologist or primary care provider for specialized evaluation. He also frequently sees patients with conditions like optic neuritis, idiopathic intracranial hypertension, ocular myasthenia gravis or visual field defects. When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Magharious likes to travel and learn about different cultures, taking up photography, enjoying aviation activities and watching sports. He is also fluent in English, French and Arabic.
